Year 2 enjoy Roald Dahl favourite

This week has been the end of a very busy half term for Year 2. On Tuesday afternoon we presented our Celebration Assembly to the Year 1 and 2 parents. The children were very excited about this, as they have loved learning about Roald Dahl and how he is linked to our local area. Our favourite Roald Dahl book across the year group is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the children made a fantastic living graph on stage to show the parents. The children spoke enthusiastically about their learning, using loud, clear voices. The assembly ended with a toe tapping rendition of the song High Hopes, which the children have been learning this half term in singing.

Next half term we will be moving on in science from Materials to Electricity. Our new topic will see us comparing Great Missenden with the Isle of Coll which we link to the Katie Morag stories.

We hope you have a lovely half term.
