Year 2 have fun making Christmas decorations

This week in Year 2 we have had fun trying to follow some instructions while being really excited about our Christmas play!

We started by making some pre-cut paper chains with our partner and giving clear oral instructions. Next we painted some paper plates and added beaks, eyes, tails and feathers to make our own rocking robins. We then wrote our own instructions taking care to use precise language and imperative verbs. Next week, we will be carrying out instructions (but we don’t want to spoil the surprise).

To support your child’s learning at home, you may wish to follow a simple recipe to make biscuits or follow instructions to play a game. Don’t forget Christmas jumpers or clothes on Friday.
