Year 2 write non chronological reports based on their fantasy sea creature
15th May 2020

It’s been another busy week in Year 2, the time is flying by. We have been learning and consolidating the tricky concept of telling the time. The children made clocks at home which we’ve used during our lessons. It has been lovely to watch their confidence grow as they solve problems such as how long a cake takes to bake if it is put into the oven at 2.10 and is cooked for 35 minutes! This seems very appropriate given how much baking is taking place at the moment.
The children have also been writing a non chronological report based on their fantasy sea creature. They created imaginative underwater beasts and had to write their report including an introduction and subheadings such as habitat, appearance, diet, how they defend themselves against predators and reproduce. Harry thought carefully to write and design an engaging poster which really draws the reader in to find out more!
