Year 3 enter Childnet competition
12th May 2017
In ICT the children have started to prepare for an exciting competition organised by the charity Childnet. The challenge is to create a 60 second animation film to promote internet safety and the positive uses of the Internet. The children are using the app Stop Motion to create their films. The task will involve script writing, planning, adding sound and commentary and editing. The competition closes on 12th June so the children have plenty of time to create their masterpieces.
In Topic this week the children learnt about the three main castle types and how castles changed over time. This should be good preparation for our trip to Windsor where the children will see how the castle developed from a motte and bailey to the magnificent concentric castle of today.
Next week the children will be recording information and writing a recount of their Windsor trip in our English and Topic lessons - creating a Windsor Castle booklet.
