Year 3 learn the importance of looking after their teeth
5th February 2016
Year 3 have had a very busy week. Mrs Bridge came in on Monday to talk to us about looking after our teeth. She explained how important it is to spit and not rinse and to brush the gums as well as the teeth. The children were delighted with their goody bags and came away with lots of useful tips and advice. On Thursday afternoon, as a reward for lots of hard work on assessments, the children enjoyed our Harry Potter themed afternoon. The children were very enthusiastic and it was lovely to see them sharing their “skills” with the many parents and siblings who visited the classrooms later. Some of the comments made by the children were: fantastic, awesome, epic, magical, exciting and exhilarating. The Year 3 teachers were impressed with the politeness shown by our after school visitors – particularly younger siblings who thoughtfully thanked us for inviting them.
We are looking forward to our trip to Warwick Castle next week and please remember that we hope to leave promptly at 8.30. Also, on Friday afternoon, Mrs Rowe has organised an afternoon of mathematical problem solving for us which will finish our eventful half term on a high note.
