Year 3 study 'nonsense' poems

For the final week of English in Year 3, we have been studying ‘nonsense’ poems in 3 KG. We watched a video of the nation’s favourite comic poem - On The Ning Nang Nong by Spike Milligan. We laughed at the way he presented it and the sounds he made at the ends of the nonsense words.. We then worked in groups to present sections of it ourselves. We had really good fun with it, adding actions and working well in small groups. We thought about what the Ning, Nang, Nong might represent with ideas such as a planet in a different universe being our favourite.

It has been a delight to teach the children in Year 3 and we wish them (and all of you) a very happy, relaxing holiday!
