Year 3 create animations about their favourite Greek myths
29th March 2019

WOW, what a term it has been and what a way to end it. I am sure that you will all agree that the children did a fantastic job this afternoon. To stand on the stage and confidently speak, sing and dance is amazing.
It is safe to say that this term’s topic of The Ancient Greeks has truly inspired the children. They have learnt about many Greek myths and have spent the last 3 weeks planning and preparing to make an animation about part of their favourite myth. The children have spent time using plasticine to make the characters. They have created a backdrop for the scene and then used the Stop Motion program on the iPad to create their animation. To do this successfully, the children needed to move their characters ever so slightly and continually take photos as they did so in order to try and create a sleek moving animation. The results have been brilliant, Nick Park watch out!
Over the holiday, keep reading and working on times tables - but most importantly relax and have fun!
