Year 4 - Analysing evidence

We have been detectives in our humanities lessons this week, investigating how we use sources of evidence to learn about events in the past. We discussed the importance of finding out the origin, age and author of the information and what factors might make it unreliable.

We have looked at pictures from different ages of history and used them to sequence the different periods chronologically. We had lots of animated discussions as the children debated in their groups and analysed the fragments of evidence before them.
