Year 4 explore the Vikings
28th April 2017
This week, Year 4 have made a fantastic start to their work on the Vikings. The children shared a great amount of prior knowledge and posed thoughtful questions for further research. When studying the newsletter image, the pupils considered the usefulness and validity of different historical sources and were surprised to find out that Vikings did not have horns or wings on their helmets.
Our 'Imaginary Worlds' work in English has captured the children's imaginations and inspired some superb descriptive character writing. Over the weekend, you may wish to discuss some imaginary settings and ask your children how they might describe them.
