Year 4 - weighing in on estimates

Over the last two weeks, Year 4 have been looking at different ways of measuring. After discussing what the word “weight” actually means and how we might measure it. Then, we looked at how we might estimate the weight of an item - rather than just guessing, we thought that it would be a good idea to compare the item to something whose weight we already know. We then put this into practice and Year 4 carefully compared the items to weights before making their estimates.
