Year 5 get set for Ironbridge
13th May 2016
Everyone is looking forward to the Ironbridge trip next week. The trip is very much cross curricular - in Humanities, the geography of the River Severn is a great learning opportunity and the historical significance of the area as a whole, often referred to as ‘the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution’, is magnificently preserved as part of the World Heritage Site. Design and Technology and Science are both interwoven, with the visit to Enginuity, an interactive technology centre, along with the various mechanisms to be seen at Blists Hill, the Victorian village. I am sure that the children will enjoy the 3 days and return with many tales to tell.
