Year 5 get sporty in French lessons

Year 5 have all been getting very sporty in French lessons since the Easter holidays. We have been learning lots of sports and activities vocab, phrases and questions (with a focus on negative sentences and gender: le or la) and using them to discuss and write about our preferences. Everyone has enjoyed learning the lyrics and joining in with our French sports song, while chanting ‘F-O-O-T--B-A-L-L’ in the chorus. We also played sports charades, choosing our favourite sports and applying appropriate actions and phrases. It hasn’t just been sports however... The question ‘Tu aimes regarder la télé?’ probably met with a few too many delighted answers of ‘J’adore regarder la télé!’
