Year 5 learn some new mindfulness techniques

In Mindfulness this week 5WOH learnt that everybody has 'wobbles' and that we are like 'weebles', through mindfulness we can right ourselves. We learnt a new practice that involved tracing our fingers while focusing on our breathing. We talked about the things that might cause us to wobble. They included arguments, speaking in public, tests, sports events, friendship issues and many more things. We also learnt about a part of the brain called the insula. The insula controls our emotions and helps us to recognise the emotions of other people.
