Year 5 look at newly created scratch accounts

In ICT in Year 5 this week we started to look at our newly created scratch accounts. We learnt about sprites and backgrounds and the design processes involved. Some of the children practised these skills at home and have come up with some wonderful designs! Next week we are going to start learning how to animate our sprites through writing simple programmes. Our major project this term will be to design and.programme a game of their own design. Please ask your child about their work this week. Scratch is an online program and can be accessed from home, some children might like to show you their projects and the work that they have done so far.

Finally, a reminder for parents of children who are going on the Ironbridge trip - please hand in prescribed medicines next week to ensure a prompt departure on the day. These need to be clearly labelled, in the original packaging and expiry date checked, as well as being accompanied by a completed school trip form.
