Year 5 organise a trip for Mr Atkinson
24th March 2017
In Computing we have been learning about managing budgets using spreadsheets and searching the internet using review sites to make informed decisions. Each child has been given an imaginary budget of 200 pounds to organise a weekend away for me in Canterbury. It has been really interesting to see how the children spend money. Some children decided to buy me a tent and put me in a campsite while others opted to hire me an expensive car and make me eat McDonalds for the entire weekend! Fortunately most children carefully reviewed hotel websites and found me lovely accommodation and organised lots of interesting activities for me to do. The children have found this to be an interesting, practical and enjoyable project. Perhaps your children could be put to work and be involved in helping to plan your next holiday?
