Year 5 have a special visitor in ICT

This afternoon Year 5 were lucky enough to be shown a presentation by Lt Colonel Borgeson (Abby and Wyatt's Dad!) on programming using Scratch. Mr Borgeson had written a program that simulated the flight of a rocket. The children were able to see how what they have been learning in ICT can be developed to solve real life problems and solutions. We learnt about algorithms, variables, sensing and broadcasting events. Hopefully the presentation will inspire the children to continue with their programming and stretch their imagination and understanding!
