Year 5 tour the sights of Paris!
10th February 2017
In French recently, Year 5 have been extending their knowledge of ‘calendar’ language. We’ve been practising our oral and written knowledge of French numbers, days and months in order to form any date of the year. The days were put to good use this week in the form of a scrapbook, spending a ‘virtual week in Paris’, touring some of the city’s most famous tourist attractions; we took a tourist boat (un bateau mouche) on the river Seine and visited la Tour Eiffel, la cathedrale de Notre Dame, la musee du Louvre et Euro-Disney.
A puzzle page of days and months vocabulary for homework this week will be followed by a related mini virtual scrapbook homework task after the half-term holiday.
