Year 5 - What is the Internet?
31st January 2020

What is the internet? What does it look like? How does it work? In Computing, Year 5 were asked to consider these questions and draw a picture of what they thought the internet looked like. Needless to say, the initial results made for interesting viewing - invisible pipes between computers, information stored on government satellites and The Cloud being an actual cloud!
Having spent some lessons investigating the questions, including a trip to the old server room and a practical activity passing 'packets' of data around the class, the children's second attempts at 'drawing the internet' were much improved!
