Year 6 - challenged to solve problems

There was a satisfying mixture of great excitement and resilience shown by our enthusiastic Year 6s on Monday afternoon, as their thinking, teamwork and communication skills were put to the test in a series of fun group challenges. George from The Problem Solving Company set some rather ingenious and amusing puzzles and activities, using a whole variety of engaging equipment. Some of the tasks seemed impossible at first sight, but with a little perseverance, our pupils were often delighted with their successes. Despite the occasional difficulty, mishap or overzealousness along the way, Gateway Year 6 proved to be more than a match for all the demanding tasks.
