Year 6 are currently exploring modern figurative sculpture, particularly the work of Henry Moore and Giacometti. They have had lots of fun experimenting with wire to create their own Giacometti inspired figures. I was really impressed with the way in which they carefully rolled and twisted the wire to construct some super elongated figures. They chose a ‘pose’ of their choice, which resulted in lots of Usane Bolt and Mo Farah recreations! When happy with their wire structure, they carefully applied a layer of plaster to complete their designs. Come up to the Art room to see our wonderful creations!
