Year 6 introduce themselves in French

Year 6 (and 5) have returned to their French studies this term by researching and discussing about France and the French way of life. They have also ‘rebooted’ their French language studies by reviewing and extending their knowledge of introducing and talking about themselves (most people’s favourite activity!).
Les baguettes et les croissants, les crêpes et les macarons, le vin et le fromage, les escargots et les cuisses de grenouilles have all been mentioned as well-known French foods. The big three French car makers (Renault, Peugeot et Citroën) were also named. We took a snapshot tour of France by ‘visiting’ a few of the many key tourist destinations and we tried to name all of the countries bordering France - How many can you name? [Answers below].
Personal details, favourite sports, films and music have all been thought about in order to prepare for being interviewed in French by partners. The information will contribute towards personal profile pages and some of it can also be shared with our French pen-pals when we come to write our second letters this term.
