Year 6 - “It’s just been so fun”
2nd July 2021

What a week for the Year 6 pupils. There was much excitement on Monday morning as they headed off to Longridge Activity Centre and rightly so! Over the next few days they took part in a variety of team activities and challenges from trebuchet and raft building to climbing and laser quest - there were plenty of opportunities to try new things and create some special memories with classmates.
On Thursday, when Year 6 returned to school, they were treated to a day of circus skills. They learnt plate spinning, juggling and even tried unicycles and had a really great day.
Topping off a fantastic week, today, they took part in a First Aid course and learnt various lifesaving skills including CPR performed in time to the Baby Shark song.
They are definitely rounding off their Gateway School experience on a high. As one Year 6 said “It's just been so fun and I'm really going to miss it when I leave”.
