This week we have had the opportunity to put the skills that we have been learning about in Mindfulness into action. The Year 6 pupils have been encouraged to help themselves prepare for SATS by carrying out a Mindfulness 'practice'. On Monday morning Mr Atkinson led a practice that focussed on breathing to calm any nerves and focus the pupil's attention on the present.
The skills that are taught in this course are lifelong, the children will be able to use these skills whenever they feel that they are about to 'wobble'. Please encourage your child to discuss what they learn in mindfulness sessions with you.
