Mr Grosse's blog - Welcome Back!
11th January 2019
It never fails to amaze me how quickly the children and staff settle into school life after a holiday as, I’m sure you have all found, it can be rather difficult motivating everyone on these dark and cold January mornings! Thankfully, the team work hard to ensure the children have plenty to look forward to on their return to school - and Spring Term 2019 will be no exception!
Our Learning for Life topic this term is all about dreams and goals. This inspired me to reflect on what the children will be doing this term. Some of the highlights include:
8 trips booked - ranging from the Neasden Mandir to the National Gallery
A sporting fixture list jam-packed with inter-school sport across 5 different sports
An Inter-house competition
70 extra-curricular clubs
Senior Choir visiting the O2 for Young Voices
Music teas
World Book and Red Nose days
An array of fabulous lessons planned across the curriculum to provide a highly engaging and stimulating learning experience for all our pupils
Mrs Izard and the Chamber Choir received exciting news this week that they have once again qualified for the National Choral Competition - a fantastic achievement and we wish them lots of luck for when they compete on Monday 4th March at the prestigious Royal Festival Hall.
And finally, at half-term we will be beginning our Take One Picture work for this year. This event showcases the amazing creative talent of our pupils and I’m sure that you are all looking forward to viewing the superb work which will be on display in the School Hall on Friday 8th March.
So, as I am sure you will agree, it’s going to be a great term!
Have a lovely weekend.
