Mrs Bufton-Green's Blog - Farewell to another remarkable academic year!

As we bid farewell to another remarkable academic year, it is with great pride and joy that I reflect upon the countless achievements, memorable events and heartfelt appreciations that have defined our school's journey over the past twelve months.

Our children’s commitment to taking ownership and responsibility for their learning is such a pleasure for us to witness. Through their hard work and the unwavering support of our fantastic staff, we have seen the children achieve and grow both academically and personally. They are all more than ready to move on to their new year groups and classes which was evident on Tuesday this week, as they embraced their transition day activities.

We are proud of the offering for the children beyond the classroom too, through our sporting, creative and myriad of co-curricular activities. We have enjoyed team and individual successes in sport, demonstrating skill, sportsmanship and team spirit. Our performing arts opportunities have entertained family and friends and have provided the children with an avenue to display their ever-growing talents.

This year, we have been fortunate to have shared some strong community events with the King’s Coronation celebrations, the FOG Summer Fair and our visits to the local care home. Additionally, we have continued to welcome parents into school to further support the children’s learning through careers events, to reading in class and our recent Empire Windrush workshops.

None of our achievements would have been possible without the dedication and passion of our remarkable staff. We express our deepest appreciation for their hard work and commitment to the children and the school community as a whole. We are also incredibly grateful for the continued support and involvement of our parents as we share the privilege of educating the children to become better versions of themselves every day.

As we look back on this remarkable year, we cannot help but feel proud of the achievements and growth of our children. It is their enjoyment, collaborative spirit and determination that continue to make our school an exceptional place of learning and personal development.

Here's to another incredible year ahead, filled with new opportunities, challenges and triumphs.
