Mrs La Farge has had a busy week as part of the inspection team at another school, so she has asked me to write a piece for the newsletter. We had a very exciting open day on Saturday, with current and prospective parents alike taking time to enjoy the incredible Take One Picture exhibition. It was lovely to see such a wide range of work on display. I hope you have enjoyed the chance to talk to staff about your child’s work during consultations this week.
A gold medal was awarded to the girls under 11 A netball team when they played in the Chiltern and South Bucks High Five netball tournament at Kingsmead Netball Centre, High Wycombe, on Saturday, winning 5-0 in the final! Congratulations go to the year 4 boys for winning the cup at the Cross-Country in Queenswood on Friday 13 March.
At Thursday afternoon’s Celebration Assembly, we enjoyed hearing about all the work the Reception children have been doing this term. They particularly enjoyed their trip to the Tring museum to learn about a variety of animals. Year 1 and 2 performed their Celebration Assemblies to their parents in Great Missenden Hall on Friday and gave a broad picture of the work they have been doing.
Today we welcomed our new Reception children to come and meet the animals at our Early Years’ Open Morning. It was an exciting visit with the children loving the range of exotic animals they could see and touch.
Mrs La Farge is looking forward to the Year 3 and 4 productions next week, as I am sure you are. The new Club list for the summer term goes live at 5pm tonight, please encourage your child to choose from the wide range of clubs on offer next term. I wish you all a very relaxing weekend.
