Dear Parents

This has certainly been an action packed half term and time really has raced away with us. Thank you to all the parents who completed the recent online survey. We have also asked the children to complete a survey about their likes and dislikes about school. This provided a lovely opportunity for the younger pupils to work co-operatively with the older pupils to get this completed. We are now analysing the results from both surveys and will be providing feedback after Easter on the areas identified as needing development.

Our Sport Relief Day was a great success, raising over £650 in total and providing a great opportunity for parents to be involved and to join in with a school activity. We also enjoyed having such a supportive audience for all the end of term productions and assemblies. It was lovely that so many parents were able to join us at these events.

I was delighted to take all the School Council reps from Year 4 - 6 to Woodlands Park Care Centre today for an Easter Egg hunt. It made me very proud to see joy that the children brought to the residents there. They were all confident, polite and considerate and also enjoyed the experience, especially the generous number of chocolate eggs they managed to find! Certainly another successful visit from both sides.

As we close for the Easter break I know that Aktiva Camps are gearing up to provide another successful holiday club for Gateway children. If you find you need some days over the holidays Aktiva would be happy to help. Please contact them directly on 0203 551 8909 or email

I hope all Gateway families have a happy and healthy holiday, wherever you are choosing to spend it. We look forward to welcoming all the children back for the Summer Term on Thursday 14 April.

Kind regards

Sue La Farge
