Dear Parents

Three weeks in and the term is in full swing - busy children, busy teachers, busy parents - the sign of a happy and active school.

On Wednesday, the choir enjoyed a trip to the 02 Arena for the annual Young Voices Concert. I was lucky enough to be able to watch the performance and was amazed by the experience. The effort that the children put into learning the songs was fantastic and it was a joy to see the children, alongside Mr Lloyd, Miss Wilkes and Mrs O’Hare, performing all the actions. A special mention to Mrs Izard must be made for organising such an amazing experience for the children. I’m sure that they will never forget it.

Some of the children who were late at the 02 on Wednesday then had to rouse themselves early in order to depart before school on Thursday for the ISA London North Football Tournament. The late night obviously didn’t take too much out of them, however, as they emerged victorious and will represent London North at the National Finals, later in the year - well done boys and thank you to Mr Judge and Mr Clark for the great coaching.

We are lucky to have Daisy helping children and parents to cross the road in the mornings. Please make full use of this facility and ensure that you cross safely with her, waiting for her signal before stepping into the road. Another plea, please could we also ask that in the morning you drop your child either at care if it is before 8.30am or at main reception after that time. We are working hard to develop the children’s independence and would appreciate your help with this.

Finally, I’d like to wish our swimmers good luck for the National ISA Finals at the Olympic Pool on Saturday. Another opportunity to do Gateway proud and I have no doubt that they will.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend and look forward to seeing you all again on Monday morning.

Mr Grosse, Deputy Head
