Dear Parents

Once again the fabulous team at Gateway have pulled off another fantastic Take One Picture Exhibition. The project is masterminded by the art team and Mrs Mock did a great job of a simultaneous unveiling of the mystery picture back on 25th January. Led by the interests and questions from the children, the staff have then gone away and planned multi disciplinary challenges for the pupils to enjoy. There is an impressive range of activities on display both in the hall and the classrooms. The children are very excited about touring their parents and grandparents around the site on Saturday, between 9.30 and 11.30. I do hope that you all enjoy your visit.

The Year 6 girls enjoyed their Netball Workshop on Wednesday afternoon. This useful session was taken by Izzie Kemp, an ex-Gateway pupil who was selected to play for the England U21 team, so is in a great position to coach them to further success. We are very grateful to Izzie for giving up her time to take this session.

The sports staff have once again been busy facilitating a great range of opportunities for the pupils this week. The U11 girls travelled to the inaugural Bellevue Hockey Tournament on Tuesday and despite only playing competitive hockey this academic year, they won through to the final and were only beaten 1 - 0 by Skippers Hill School. A fantastic result! U10 & U11 Boys’ Football teams, U11 Girls’ Football team and U8 Netball teams all played this week and the U10 7 a side football squad are playing a tournament at Berkhamsted on Saturday. So another busy week.

I look forward to seeing many families at school on Saturday morning.
