Mrs La Farge's blog - working hand-in-hand with parents

At Gateway, we recognise that our positive partnership with parents is paramount to the children’s learning and development and we continuously review our processes to ensure we are effective in alleviating the ever-changing pressures placed on families as much as we possibly can.

Our summer clubs have commenced and we are making full use of all of our facilities on site, as well as the facilities at Sprinters in Prestwood and the local Great Missenden Tennis Club. This enables us to offer a wide range of clubs covering all year groups, thus ensuring pupils who take advantage of our wraparound care are well catered for every day from 8am - 6pm.

As you will be aware, in the Spring Term we circulated our comprehensive online parent survey, providing an opportunity for as many parents as possible to share their thoughts on all aspects of school life. We are delighted to be able to share the results, which parents can view via our new style Communications Bulletin which we have launched and issued today via email.

We are mindful of how busy our parents are and we are committed to ensuring we communicate with them in the most efficient and timely way possible. Our new style Communications Bulletin will be circulated every Friday and will contain all the letters and information parents need for the next fortnight at school. The aim of the Bulletin is to enhance our existing communication, with a particular focus on addressing the comments raised in the parental survey.

The feedback we received from the survey has been carefully considered by the team and the results have helped to shape our plans for the year ahead. I very much look forward to sharing our School Progress Plan for 2019-2020 with you in next week’s newsletter.

Have a lovely weekend.
