As the school year comes to a close, we want to celebrate an important milestone for all of our pupils, as they are soon to embark on their transition to new year groups and classes. While much attention is often given to those moving from Preschool to ‘big school’, or those moving onto Senior School, it is important to recognise that this period of change and growth is relevant for all our children.

This period of transition can be both exciting and overwhelming, regardless of a child’s age or destination. Children may feel a range of emotions during this time. Some may be anxious about the unknown, while others are thrilled by the idea of new friends and challenges.

Our dedicated staff have thoroughly prepared our children for every stage of transition, ensuring a holistic growth and readiness. From their early years in Preschool, to Upper Prep, our children experience a seamless progression in learning and social and emotional growth. As our children transition to their new year groups and classes, we can be confident in their preparedness to thrive and face the opportunities that await them.

As a school community, we are committed to supporting every child during this transition. Our teachers will continue to provide guidance, reassurance and a listening ear where needed. We are all looking forward to our Transition Day on Tuesday 4 July, when children and teachers alike will spend time together in their new classes to begin the exciting journey of getting to know one another.

We have no doubt that the up-coming year will be a positive experience for our children and we look forward to having the privilege of walking this pathway with them.
